QC Standard Setups

The standard setup is configured to fit most use cases.

This setup is based on deductions being made and then returned on repairs.

The standard is for QC to be done piece by piece and so the predefined value for audits is 1.

Measures

  1. OK

An OK measure is set up and named Audit - this will be used for all audits.

When a piece is audited and faulty, both the OK measure and a Repair/Rework measure is used for that piece.

For all audits where there are no faults, the OK measure is used to count them as Audited.

This is set up with no flags checked and will simply count the audit.

  1. Repair/Rework

Standard QC Codes in this scenario would use Deduct and Repair flags - This means the user is blamed for the fault.

When the piece is repaired the values will be returned to the user doing the repair - this will cost the user efficiency loss.

  1. Scrap

The standard method for scrap is to set it up in two ways, one where the user is blamed, and one where there's no blame.

If there is need to track several different reasons for scrapping these are set up on the same premises.

When the user is blamed, Deduct is used to deduct the values - these can not be returned.

When the user is not blamed, No flags are used. The QTY will be removed from the user but SMV and Pay are not affected.

These are the three measures required for QC and are the standard way of setting Shopfloor QC up.

The measure 'No Measure' should typically not be required as well as the 'No Blame' flag.
