Add On |

Accounts are for management purposes within the web based overview system and are not to be confused with users. |
App |
The shopfloor tablet application |

User waiting for offstandard approval |
Base Rate |
Base rates are the base hourly rates for users or departments, used to calculate the actual paid piece rates |
BOL |
Bill of Labor, List of operations required to produce a product. Define the steps and the order that they should be done in |
BOM |
Bill of Materials, list of materials required to produce a product. |
Categories |
Can be used to categorize users, operations, locations, etc for report and filtering purposes. |
Conditional SMV |
Controlled by the tags attached to the unit for unit level operations or to the work order for work order level operations |
Customers |
Customers are used to tag workorders with a specific customers. Can be used to see which workorders are related to which customers |
Dashboard |
The main overview screen accessible by clicking the Exenta logo in the header |
Demand |
Desired production count for a specific time period |
Department |
A group of machines / locations / tablets |
EC Add On |
Extra Credit Add On assigned to specific operation |
Efficiency % |
Cumulative SMV / Time worked |
Extra Add On |
Extra SMV assigned to a specific operation, for example in different sizes of clothes. |
Gross Pay |
Total calculated pay for period |
Incentive Pay |
Platform for payroll management within shopfloor |
Jobs |
Jobs are processes that can be run to reset production, calculate pay, roundings etc. |
Labels |
Labels are the printable labels with QR codes the users will scan in the production. Can also be ID cards. |
Line Balancing |
Tool to compare expected production versus actual production |
Live Production |
Production views showing real time and past data |
Locations |
A location is a Shopfloor tablet typically a tablet is at a machine location |
Logs |
Logs can be used to see all transactions by all users within a selected time period. |
Manage |
Configuration menus, used to set up and configure most parts of shopfloor |
Milestones |
aka Stage, Milestones are used in order to track certain goals that have been reached during the production of an item based on the operations that have been completed |
Offstandard |
Non Working Time. Training, no work, on break |
Operation |
individual processes that have to be performed to produce a particular item |
Operation Sequencing |
Using prerequisites to create an operation sequence that must be followed to progress |
Operator/User |
User in the production primarily using the shopfloor app |
Pace |
Actual pace of production |
Pacing Tool |
Not to be confused with Takt, this is a tool for the operators individual pace of production for the current unit/work order |
Piece Rate |
SMV * Base Rate, users can be paid as a Piece Rate or Labor Cost. Labor cost would be equivalent to 100% of SMV |
Prerequisites |
Prerequisite operations needed to start the next operation |
Processes |
Manufacturing processes, different ways to set up Shopfloor depending on how the manufacturing is structured. |
Production Intervals |
A single day where shopfloor was used for production. A production interval is generated after production is reset (if there was production that day) |
Products |
Products are the lowest level of production and are the actual pieces being produced. |
Quality % |
Good products produced / Total Produced |
Reports |
Reports are used to summarize different data, there are standard reports, custom reports can be requested |
Roadmap |
Roadmaps are used to see how different parts of the system are set up and connected. |
Roles |
Roles can be assigned to accounts to manage what access different accounts have in the system |
Sales Order |
this is used if a group of different products are being made for one customer. Grouping the product into a Sales Order view allows you to keep track of products that have a customer in common |
Schedules |
Schedules are used to schedule jobs and reports to be automatically generated at specific dates and times. |
Shifts |
Users and teams can be assigned into shifts, this is part of the incentive pay platform |
Skills |
The different skills users have, used for line balancing and seeing which users are effective at specific operations |
SKU |
Stock Keeping Unit, Record of materials stock |
SMV |
Standard Minute Value, also known as SAM. The standard amount of time required for a single operation. |
Sub Route |
Used when two operations can be started at the same time in two different locations |
Tags |
Information about the workorder. This could any data, for example color, material or size |
Takt Time |
Production demand rate i.e. The rate of production required to keep up with production demand. |
Team Leader |
Team leaders manage offstandard approvals and see an overview of daily production |
Teams |
Groups of user within a department |
Time Keep |
Users who do not produce on the floor can use time keep to log their work hours. |
Traits |
Part of the planning system to identify products with different traits. |
Transactions |
All scans in the production are logged as transactions. Transactions can be modified and inserted by management. |
Units |
Units are a sub-level of workorders, often called bundles. A workorder can be split into several units. |
Uptime % |
On-Standard / User Work Time, aka Performance |
WIP |
Units Produced in specified location |
WIP End |
The last operation in a product BOL - when this operation is completed the product will no longer count as WIP but a finished product instead. |
WIP Start |
The first operation in a product BOL - when this operation is completed the product counts as WIP |
WIP Tracking |
Visual tracking of produced vs demand and to spot potential bottlenecks |
Work Order |
Item or group of items that will be produced, The workorders can be broken down into units if the order is large |
Work Order Unit |
Units can be thought of as bundles. Workorders can be broken into units |
Work Time |
All time a user has spent on and off standard while logged in within a single production interval. |
